Pediatric Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon (with emphasis on soft tissue reconstruction)Posted: 3/9/2024

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Arkansas is seeking a full time academic pediatric plastic surgeon focused primarily on soft tissue reconstruction. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery. Ideal candidate would have some fellowship training either in Microvascular, burn, or pediatric plastic surgery though not required.


Primary clinical responsibilities will include comprehensive general pediatric plastic surgery reconstruction at Arkansas Children’s Hospital including:

 ·    *pediatric soft tissue reconstruction (traumatic reconstruction, breast reconstruction)

 ·    *secondary burn reconstruction (Pediatric and Adult)

 ·    *bony facial trauma

 ·    *facial reanimation

 ·  *options available to tailor the individuals career based on their fellowship training including opportunities for ear reconstruction, microvascular surgery, etc .


There are also additional opportunities for growth at the satellite hospital in Northwest Arkansas. 


Research productivity is encouraged and protected time for research will be considered. The candidate should have a proven track record in clinical discovery with publications in this clinical area.
