Job Opportunity Board Features

The Job Opportunity Board provides ASPS members, candidates for membership, residents, and other practice professionals with a career site to help in their job searches or recruitment efforts.

Plastic surgeons just beginning their careers or considering a career move may post their password-protected curriculum vitae at no charge. ASPS members who have a fellowship opportunity, are seeking an associate, or are planning to sell their practices may place a job opportunity listing for a fee. For the same fee, non-members and physician recruiters may also post plastic surgery-related job opportunity listings. The placement of a listing will provide free access to curriculum vitae posted by job seekers.

The Other Practice Professionals section is available to members seeking to hire a nurse, OR technician, administrative assistant, office manager or other administrative or clinical personnel. Job opportunity listings are posted for a fee and are categorized geographically as well as by clinical or administrative positions. Practice professionals who are seeking employment with a plastic surgeon may post their password-protected resumes at no charge. Only members who post a job opportunity listing have access to these resumes.

Job recruiters in need of more information on preparing their ad, will find tips by reading Preparing an Ad. Also available on the Job Opportunity Board is Career Resources. In this section job seekers will find information about preparing a cover letter and CV, questions to ask in an interview, working with search firms and obtaining letters of recommendation. Under Physician Recruiters, plastic surgeons in need of professional assistance from a recruitment firm will find the names of search firms that provide services to both the job seeker and the recruiter.
