International Members
International Membership is an honor for plastic and reconstructive surgeons who
reside and practice in countries other than the United States or Canada; who have
achieved distinction in their own country and who are members in good standing of
their national plastic surgery society.
There are many international plastic surgeons who are "International Members" of
ASPS who are not certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and/or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Canada. ASPS cannot confirm, deny or review
the rigor of the training or certification of its "International Members" as they
reside in dozens of countries and have attended hundreds of medical programs outside of North America. Because of this, ASPS cannot list these surgeons in its referral
service.
