A one-year position in Microsurgery is available beginning August 1, 2020, through July 31, 2021, at Stanford University Medical Center. Individuals acquire expertise in comprehensive microsurgery and complex reconstruction, including oncologic defects of the breast (TRAM, DIEP, SGAP, TUG, SIEA, PAP), head & neck, and traumatic defects of the hand & lower extremity, peripheral nerve surgery, facial reanimation, brachial plexus, nerve transfers, and lymphedema (LVA, lymph node transfer, liposuction). Stanford is a Level I Trauma Center as well as a Comprehensive Cancer Center.
You will be appointed as a Clinical Instructor. Opportunities are available for participation in global health, basic science and clinical research projects, as well as medical device development. Individuals typically perform over 150 microvascular cases each and work with ten full-time microsurgeons.
