One-year, non-ACGME accredited, clinical burn and burn reconstruction fellowship for adult and pediatric patients. ABA verified adult and pediatric burn center with 2.5 FTE surgeons (burn/critical care and plastics trained) and support from 9 advance practice providers providing 24-hour coverage. Apprenticeship model with individual training and exposure. Open to general surgery/plastic surgery graduates (join fellowship as junior attending) and those who have completed PGY-3 residency. Advanced training in acute burn and burn reconstruction along with advanced laser-reconstructive surgery. Ability to scrub general and pediatric plastic surgery cases as well. Case volume >500. Fellow's clinic. Exposure to other facets of medicine including administration, financial education, quality improvement, palliative care and ethics. Attendance at ABA conference financially covered.
