Fellowship
The
Toronto
General
Hospital
is
a
world-leader
in
the
field
of
transplantation.
We
have
a
funded
position
and
are
looking
for
an
experienced
surgeon
to
work
in
our
laboratory
starting
ASAP.
The
fellow
will
take
a
leading
role
in
a
basic
science
project
involving
a
large
animal
model
of
Vascularized
Composite
Allotransplantation.
The
project
requires
expert
surgical
skills
with
a
possibility
of
some
subprojects
related
to
microsurgery.
The
fellow
will
work
at
the
Toronto
General
Hospital
Research
Institute.
The
project
focuses
on
regenerative
medicine
techniques
and
immunology.
Any
previous
experience
in
histology,
immunohistochemistry
and
flow
cytometry
would
be
considered
an
asset.
The
fellow
will
be
invited
to
participate
in
departmental
conferences
and
educational
activities.
This
fellowship
will
culminate
with
multiple
manuscripts
published
on
which
the
fellow
will
be
an
author.
The
fellow
will
have
a
budget
for
attending
conferences
to
present
their
work.
Other
opportunities
for
basic
and
translational
research
also
exist
and
are
focused
on
animal
models
for
tracheal
regeneration
and
medical
device
development.
This
position
is
available
ASAP
for
a
minimum
of
1
year
with
the
possibility
of
extension.
