(FPSG)
is
the
busiest
microsurgical
practice
in
north
Florida,
located
in
the
vibrant,
rapidly
growing,
coastal
city
of
Jacksonville.
Our
private
practice
is
offering
a
1
year
microvascular
breast
reconstruction
and
aesthetic
surgery
fellowship
that
provides
a
high-volume
and
comprehensive
exposure
to
the
full
spectrum
of
microsurgical
and
non-microsurgical
breast
reconstructive
techniques,
including
abdominally-based
(i.e.,
DIEA,
SIEA)
and
thigh-based
(i.e.,
PAP,
DUG,
TUG)
flap
reconstruction;
implant-based
breast
reconstruction;
oncoplasty;
and
hybrid
techniques
for
optimizing
cosmetic
outcomes
in
breast
surgery.
Fellows
will
work
with
four
board-certified
plastic
surgeons
who
have
performed
over
3,000
microsurgical
breast
reconstructions
(250
annually)
and
thousands
of
aesthetic
breast
surgeries
over
the
practice's
15-year
existence.
Fellows
will
also
have
the
opportunity
to
gain
additional
exposure
to
lymphatic
microsurgical,
supermicrosurgical,
and
reductive
interventions;
sensory
reinnervation
in
breast
reconstruction;
and
aesthetic
breast
surgery,
including
implant-based
and
autologous
augmentation,
mastopexy,
volume
restoration
after
massive
weight-loss,
correction
of
constricted
breast
deformity,
and
other
common
breast
surgeries.
Fellows
will
also
participate
in
multi-disciplinary
conferences,
independent
clinics,
and
clinical
research
during
their
fellowship
and
will
gain
valuable
insight
into
the
inner
workings
of
a
busy
and
successful
private
plastic
surgery
practice.
Eligible
fellows
must
have
completed
an
ACGME
accredited
plastic
surgery
residency
and
obtain
an
unrestricted
Florida
Medical
License
to
practice
in
the
state
of
Florida.
This
fellowship
does
not
participate
in
the
match.
