Florida Plastic Surgery Group (FPSG) is the busiest microsurgical practice in north Florida, located in the vibrant, rapidly growing, coastal city of Jacksonville. Our private practice is offering a 1 year microvascular breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery fellowship that provides a high-volume and comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of microsurgical and non-microsurgical breast reconstructive techniques, including abdominally-based (i.e., DIEA, SIEA) and thigh-based (i.e., PAP, DUG, TUG) flap reconstruction; implant-based breast reconstruction; oncoplasty; and hybrid techniques for optimizing cosmetic outcomes in breast surgery. Fellows will work with four board-certified plastic surgeons who have performed over 3,000 microsurgical breast reconstructions (250 annually) and thousands of aesthetic breast surgeries over the practice's 15-year existence. Fellows will also have the opportunity to gain additional exposure to lymphatic microsurgical, supermicrosurgical, and reductive interventions; sensory reinnervation in breast reconstruction; and aesthetic breast surgery, including implant-based and autologous augmentation, mastopexy, volume restoration after massive weight-loss, correction of constricted breast deformity, and other common breast surgeries. Fellows will also participate in multi-disciplinary conferences, independent clinics, and clinical research during their fellowship and will gain valuable insight into the inner workings of a busy and successful private plastic surgery practice. Eligible fellows must have completed an ACGME accredited plastic surgery residency and obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License to practice in the state of Florida. This fellowship does not participate in the match.
