Position Summary
The Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon will provide surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures
in line with the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role involves performing
consultations, creating customized treatment plans, conducting cosmetic surgical
procedures at MPS Surgical Suites, and participating in the continued growth of the
practice. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional surgical skills, patient-centered
communication, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct patient consultations, evaluate medical histories, and develop individualized
aesthetic treatment plans.
• Perform cosmetic surgical procedures including, but not limited to breast augmentation,
breast lift, breast reduction, liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty,
and body contouring.
• Provide non-surgical treatments such as injectables, fillers, and other minimally invasive
procedures as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Dr. Mays and the clinical team to ensure continuity of care and maintain
the highest safety standards.
• Educate patients on treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and practice development
activities.
• Uphold all accreditation and compliance requirements for MPS Surgical Suites.
• Contribute to the professional reputation and growth of Mays Plastic Surgery through
patient satisfaction, community engagement, and referral-building efforts.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD).
• Completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency program.
• Board certification (or board eligibility) by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
• Valid Kentucky medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Proven experience in cosmetic surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong patient-centered approach.
• Commitment to teamwork, integrity, and continuous professional development.
