I'm 22 years old and great health but i weigh only 90.4 pounds and im only 4'11 tall. How will a butt lift and filler work for me if I'm so small already?

Thank you for your excellent question. A Butt Lift, more specifically a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) will not work for you as you do not have enough fat. Your Body Mass Index is about 18.2. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) defines an individual with a BMI of less than 18.5 as “underweight.” To become a candidate for this procedure you need to gain weight to improve your BMI to 22-23 range which means gaining at least 20 pounds. Gain the weight intelligently with balanced diet and exercise. Never “gorge” to gain weight for a “bigger butt,” it is unhealthy and generally does not work as much of the weight gain is from “visceral fat,” the fat that surrounds your stomach and intestines and is found inside your “peritoneal cavity.” This will only increase the diameter of your waist and cannot be corrected by liposuction. I perform over 100 BBLs per month and almost never put in less than 1,000 cc per butt. Choose a Member of this Society to find a surgeon dedicated to patient safety.

In order to determine what might be appropriate for you, you would have to be seen in person. If you do. It have adequate donor sites, then perhaps buttock implants may be an option.

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
