Is it worth ever get the surgery

I have had the gastro bypass surgery in 2014. I had corrective hernia surgery (with mesh) in 2016. I was also diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis in 2016. My stomach looks horrible. My plan, originally, was to get the extra skin remove. But now with all the new stomach hurtles, I want a full tummy tuck. But would I even be eligible?

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: Silver Spring, MD

If the laboratory and the ekg you could be eligible, I recommend that spend in an office of a board certified plastic surgeon

close to your town or close of home

Dear Tima76,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!

Great question and congrats on losing the weight! Now we have to deal with the excess skin, and a full tummy tuck might be just what you need. During a consultation, this can certainly be discussed and you may also want to entertain the idea of possibly doing a body lift or circumferential tummy tuck to get even better results. When it comes to dealing with the mesh and UC, we may need to get the help of a general surgeon during the procedure to ensure safe and reliable results. Thank you for your question!
