Tubular breasts

I have researched about tubular breasts but i am not sure what makes them definitively tubular. Could someone please describe how to know if the breasts are tubular or not? Also can a breast reduction fix this issue if they are large enough?

Procedure: Breast Reduction

Tuberous Breast shape is a range of findings which usually includes the following 3 characteristics: 1. a constricted breast base with a high lower breast crease and abnormally short distance from the nipple to the lower breast crease, 2. Herniation of breast tissue into the nipple areola complex which looks like the nipple areola is surrounding the breast tissue, and 3. small breast size. No two tuberous breasts look the same. This condition can range from mild to severe. If there is enough breast tissue with the majority of the problem being herniation of breast tissue into the nipple areola, then a breast reduction can effectively improve the appearance. If there is inadequate breast tissue, a breast implant and periareolar lift is usually recommended.

Yes, a breast reduction should correct the tubular breasts that you have for a rduction and/or a breast uplift reforms and reshapes your breasts. I do this as an outpatient.

Thank you for sharing your question. In most cases tuberous breasts are small, show an elevated and "tight" breast crease, tissue herniation into the areola, and a short nipple to breast crease distance. Likely best to get evaluated by a plastic surgeon in your area to get the best treatment recommendations.

Hello Awilliams. To put it as simple as possible "Tubular Breast" is a condition in which the base of the breast is narrow, the rest is long and wider at the Nipple-Areolar area. There are many types, you may look in images in Google. The correction of the tubular breast always entails the placement of implants to give them a more natural and normal shape.
