Breast Reduction

Hello, I am a 20 year old girl, and I want to get a breast reduction. My boobs are probably a DD but my right boob is so much larger than the left. They are also saggy. I have this lump forming on the back of my neck from slouching so much. It physically hurts me to sit up straight for more than a minute. I wear nothing but sports bras because my boobs hurt so bad. Would it be a good idea?

Procedure: Breast Reduction
Location: Galion, OH

The decision to undergo a breast reduction is yours. You sound like a good candidate. The reduction may improve your symptoms of neck and back pain.

Breast reduction is a procedure designed to relieve discomfort related to heavy breast while also lifting the breast to a more pleasure position/height. All reductions incorporate a lift, but not all lifts mandate tissue removal (reduction). One of the caveats is related to changes in the patient's weight/BMI. Since the tissues are living tissues, the breasts will enlarge as the patient gains weight and decrease in size as the patient loses weight. If the patient is significantly overweight, it may be wise to consider weight loss as an alternative. It will not provide a lift, but, in many cases, it may relieve discomfort related to the heaviness.

Thank you for sharing your question. Based on your concerns it sounds as if a consultation to review your candidacy for a reduction is certainly wise.

Many younger women like you have a breast reduction. You seem to have all the right reasons to have the procedure. Please see a plastic surgeon for an evaluation

You have asymmetry (uneven breasts), neck pain and breast pain, plus sound like you are too large for your frame. You are a good candidate for breast reduction and I would encourage you to see an ASPS plastic surgeon in your area. They can make your breasts smaller, lift them and even them out, all in one surgery. Your age is not too young provided you understand the benefits and risks of the surgery. Be sure to discuss potential issues down the road with breast feeding (it's still possible after reduction!). It improves women's lives and self esteem SO much. Try to find a surgeon you are very comfortable with. Seeking information in person is vital. You don't have to proceed with surgery until you feel ready.

Hello Allison. Of course it is a great idea. You are a good candidate for a Breast Reduction to avoid the pain you are feeling, allow you to raise your self esteem and get you to use the fashion proper of your age.

An online or physical evaluation is needed to design a personalized surgical plan, give you detailed information and an all included medical package.
