I underwent reconstructive breast surgery 3 years ago due to breast cancer. Fat was removed from my stomach to enhance the new breasts. My stomach now has a small indentation, skin is a little loose, & there are dimples and folds when I bend. I’m fit and workout (5’3 and 115 lbs). My doctor said it’s not too noticeable and nothing should be done, but I’m very self conscious now. What can I do?
Treatment for residual loose skin and dents after liposuction include revision liposuction , in which, the residual fat is redistributed and the dents are released. This is not always successful. Other options include fat grafting to the dents and mini-abdominoplasty. Please remember, depending upon your exact situation, doing nothing may still be the best recommendation.
Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately without a series of pictures, or an in-person exam, it is difficult to provide the best treatment. In most cases of loose skin you will need to consider a tummy tuck procedure.
Your options are more liposuction with fat grafting to fix the indentations. However if the problem is excess skin then a skin excision is necessary
