Labiaplasty

I had a labia plasty three Weeks ago. At my two week follow up the doctor said there was an a little opening on one of the incisions. Now three weeks later I feel like that open incision never Closed up. The skin is kind of separated will it heal on its own or will I need a revision?

This is something that would really have to be determined by your doctor on your next follow up appointment. You should have a six week follow up appointment. At that time your surgeon will be better able to tell you and to make a plan. However, a revision like that could most likely be a small procedure under local in the office.

Thank you for sharing your question. Without photographs I would recommend speaking to your surgeon and going in for an appointment to verify the separation and to discuss local wound care. At three weeks it will be difficult to anticipate a revision as your final results are not yet known due to swelling.

I have had small openings in the incision line close on their own, and have also repaired such an opening in the office once. If not healed in 6 weeks, it probably will need to be surgically closed.
