Burn treating

I am sorry for your injuries and the scarring it leaves. Burn scars are a difficult problem. While there are great burn centers in the United States, there are several ASPS member surgeons in the UAE. It certainly would be easier to have your treatment closer to home.

It appears you are now dealing with the scar contractions and functional problems, aesthetics from the unfortunate situation you are dealing with. This is mostly reconstructive surgery and doesn't necessarily need a burn center where acute injuries are managed. A well trained plastic surgeon should be able to help guide and mange this situation. There is a Cleveland clinic in Abu Dhabi with a plastic surgery division. You can consider visiting there.

It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure.
