Mini facelift

I have olive brown skin - is there a list of anyone who specializes in warm skin? Does it matter as far as keloids, etc.

Procedure: Facelift
Location: Kansas City, MO

Many board certified plastic surgeons will have experience in performing facelifts on all skin tones. One reason that many plastic surgeons, myself included have so many before and after images in addition to showing consistent results, is to show patients of all ages, skin types, gender, etc. Everyone wants to see someone who looks like they look. Many plastic surgeons will show close up photos of facelift incisions, ideally, the incisions will be barely perceptible.

By starting with ASPS as your source of information, you are in the right place.

Dear RSPReady,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. You are correct in that certain ethnic groups have a higher chance of developing a keloid. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!
