Making my breast smaller and not sit naturally without implants

My breast sags a lot and I want them to be smaller than what they are now. I also want them to sit naturally without getting any implants. After researching, I've come across the breast reduction surgery. I want this to be my last resort if exercising does not work. Do you have any suggestions?

Procedure: Breast Reduction

Sagging breasts can be fixed with a lift, or if you feel your breasts are too large you can also have some of the excess breast tissue removed to improve shape and reduce the weight of the breasts. Both options are usually very well tolerated, and are often outpatient surgery. I would encourage you to meet with a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to discuss what option is best for you.

A breast reduction can reduce the size and lift the breasts. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing your question. Either a reduction or lift may be an option for you to address your concerns and once at your goal weight schedule a series of in-person consultations to discuss which will best help you achieve your goals.

Hello JK, Many patients these days want a more natural look and want to avoid implants. If your breast is sagging, a breast lift or “mastopexy” will remove the excess skin and lift the breast but will preserve all of your breast tissue. It is a beautiful transformation. If you want your breasts smaller, then breast reduction will combine the breast lift with removal of some breast tissue (how much is your choice) to make the breast smaller and lifted. You are correct in considering breast reduction. Breasts look more youthful and sit naturally. The nipple areolar area is generally kept attached to the breast to maintain sensation. I see you live in Woodbridge and I am in Alexandria, VA if you are interested in a consultation. Best wishes to you!

Hi there JK. Sounds like you will need a breast lift (full mastopexy). Most patients in my practice who see me for breast lift will require a full or anchor pattern breast lift. This operation is very similar to a breast reduction. With a breast lift, mostly skin is removed and the breasts are reshaped. With a reduction, we additionally remove a significant amount of breast tissue in order to help alleviate any symptoms that patients may be experiencing due to large breasts, such as back and neck pain, and bra strap grooving.
