Fat grafting

I have a follow up questions after reading some of the questions for autologous fat grafting. I am looking to increase breast size and shape after having kids. When grafting from other sites to the breast can you use several sites - abdomen, hips, under arms, inner thighs, etc..? Also does this surgery occur in one setting? And finally over time can the fat tissue change if you lose or weight?

Procedure: Breast Augmentation
Location: Titusville, NJ

Fat can be harvested from just about all those areas you mentioned. It may require several treatments to achieve the desired volume. Implants are usually the first choice for a consistent volume.

Hello, yes, fat is usually taken from multiple sites like you’ve mentioned. Surgery does occur in 1 setting. It’s possible that the fat can fluctuate slightly with weight loss or gain. I recommend a complimentary virtual consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.

The procedure can be performed from multiple sites. Frequently there is a need for more that one session depending on how much of a volume increase you are trying to achieve

Thank you for sharing your question. Yes, multiple sites are often used to harvest fat and all aspects are done in a single setting. The fat that survives the transfer will vary in size based on your diet and exercise habits. Hope this helps.
