Breast lift after breast reduction?

I’m 22 years old, when I was 18 I got a breast reduction procedure. I’m super happy with it, however I’ve realized that my breasts have started to sag. Is it possible to get a breast lift after a breast reduction?

Procedure: Breast Lift
Location: Pennington, NJ

Yes, it is very possible that you can undergo a breast lift after a previous breast reduction. It is not uncommon for breasts to sag a bit after a breast reduction. Many factors can effect the final result. Best of luck! See you soon!

Sagging breasts are a common problem. A breast reduction is done for larger then acceptable breasts. Skin stretch is common when gaining weight and the breasts can sag after losing weight. Menstruation hormonal influences can also cause swelling of the breasts and the breasts become less swollen they sag. Breasts can be lifted with a mastopexy. Breast lift is not as difficult a recovery as a breast reduction. See a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation Good luck...

Yes, you can certailny have a breast lift. However, the type of lift will be based on the previous surgical technique. Some older techniques do not allow for a durable, long-lasting lift.

Hello Alisonnini. Yes, is possible to have a breast lift after having a breast reduction. Ussually I recommend my patients to choose breast implants, not for adding volume, but to for giving breast support and firmness, and avoiding them to fall again.

Good day and thank you for your question. Dr. Monasebian, our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, will be able to address your concerns. He would have to see you in person to examine your breasts and options can be discussed. It is not uncommon to have excess skin removed again following a breast reduction to lift the breasts. Very often the same scars can be used so there is no additional scarring. We would be happy to see you if you are in the New York City area. Medical insurance may help cover the costs of the procedure if deemed medically necessary which can be determined at your consultation. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Regards, Dr. Monasebian and Park Avenue Plastic Surgery.

Hi Alison, thank you for your question. It is possible to have a lift after a breast reduction surgery. It will help your surgeon (if not the original surgeon who did the procedure) to know the technique used for the breast reduction surgery. I recommend consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine your options. Best of luck!
