Hand numbness and tingling

Do i have to see my primary care physician to get a referral to a hand surgeon or plastic surgeon. I'm pretty sure i have carpal tunnel as well as problem with the ulnar nerve.

The only thing that makes seeing your primary physician first necessary is your insurance company's requirements. If they do not require it, see a hand surgeon of your choice.
