How would I go about getting a breast reduction due to back pain, and neck pain. I have had large breasts since middle school and I'm now in my fourth year of college and I just can't take the pain.
You would need to see a plastic surgeon to be properly evaluated. Best of luck
Plastic Surgical consultation to evaluate your symptoms and physical findings would be the first step. Often insurance will cover medically necessary breast reduction.
Hello,
I would suggest finding someone near you who performs breast reduction regularly. Then, set up a virtual or in person consultation through their website. After this visit, the doctor will submit a letter to your insurance company on your behalf and once it’s approved, you can schedule the surgery.

Thank you for sharing your question. First, check with your insurance carrier that a reduction is a covered expense and ask what are the criteria for coverage. Once done, schedule a consultation with an ASPS board certified surgeon.
Good day and thank you for your question. Dr. Monasebian, our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, will be able to address your concerns. He would have to see you in person to examine you and ask you questions. After that, all options can be discussed. We would be happy to see you if you are in the New York City area. Medical insurance may help cover the costs of the procedure if deemed medically necessary which can be determined at your consultation. We look forward to meeting you soon.
Regards, Dr. Monasebian and Park Avenue Plastic Surgery.
Many times insurances may help with this surgery. I would recommend that you send photos to drdomanskis@surgery-plastic.com. Then we could set up a complimentary Zoom/Facetime/Skype/Whatsup visit. Dr. Ed Domanskis
Hi Chassidy, thanks for your question. Sounds like you might be a good candidate for a breast reduction. I would recommend making an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area with whom you feel comfortable. Good luck!
