Whether or not you are a candidate for a tummy tuck would have to be Turman and upon examination person. As for your other medical conditions they would have to be evaluated by your medical doctor and vascular surgeon to see if you were cleared for the surgery.

Your first step should be to seen your cardiologist or primary care physician & see if you can be cleared for this type of surgery. Your safety is key. You may not be healthy enough to have such a procedure done? Then, consider a cosmetic consult with a member of the ASPS in your area. They are experts in body contouring procedures. Best,

Dear Jaharch,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. If you are otherwise free of medical issues, you are likely to be a candidate for a tummy tuck. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!

Based just on what you have written, you would be a candidate for a tummy tuck. Bariatric surgery patients need to be sure that they have adequate protein and nutrition for healing. You should have a preoperative evaluation with your primary care doctor to be sure that you are healthy. Wisconsin offers many very talented board certified plastic surgeons. You are also on the Wisconsin Illinois border and could look in northern Illinois as well. You can find board certified surgeons through this website. The Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons also has a website. Schedule a consultation and discuss this with a surgeon.
