botched surgery

I had a breast reduction and a breast lift back in 2013 and I have always thought that I just had hyper pigmentation issues even though I did try IPL and it didn’t work to get rid of it. Can I go to a surgeon and do an in-house procedure without being put under to fix this issue

Procedure: Breast Lift
Location: celina, TX

Im sorry for what you’ve been through. We can fix that in my office under a local anesthetic. I am in El Paso, TX.

This result is not a "Botched Surgery" which implies that it is the fault of your plastic surgeon.

It is the result of your genes, that is the way your body is programmed to heal. This is Post Inflamatory Hyperpigmentation.

It can be revised and hope for the best.

See your plastic surgeon who can revise the scar and hopefully you will get a good scar.

Thank you for sharing your question. Without before images it is difficult to comment but either you had a wound healing issue which led to a widened and darkened scar or your areola was large enough that not all of the tissue could be removed after resizing it. In either case a scar revision done in the office can improve upon your current aesthetic. Best wishes.

It is not entirely clear why you have this hyperpigmented area; the breast shape and your other scars look really good. I would not call it "botched" surgery in any case. You have already tried lightening the area with nonsurgical means; there could be other things that could be tried though. Excision of the pigmented area would of course remove it. Best advice is to seek a board certified plastic surgeon and get an in-person assessment.
