I had a lollipop breast lift done almost a year ago and my right breast has a small indention along the scar that goes down from the nipple. Can you tell me what could cause this?
Sometimes the indentation occurs from the skin being a little too tight. Often times with time the stretches out a little bit and improves.
If you have a result with something you don't like, you should return to your surgeon to discuss this. Sometimes scars are a bit tighter than the natural skin and this can cause a depression. Often this will correct itself over time. I would caution against larger implants since you already needed a breast lift, likely from thin skin. A larger implant will put more weight on the breast and more gravitational pressure on the skin, and could cause the breast to droop more in the future. A tummy tuck can be combined with a breast procedure, but increases the operative time and area of injury. You should discuss this with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine what your options are and what is safe to do together.

Hello and thank you for your question. This can be from a bit of tension on the repair and usually resolves within a year. I would try scar massage and return to your original surgeon to see if a touch up is indicated. This can often can be addressed under local anesthesia in the office. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. It is hard to say what is causing the abnormality... it could just be scar tissue, implant rippling, or fat irregularity. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable.
