I had labiaplasty and requested a hood reduction, was told that they would do wedge process with labia, they weren't going to touch my clitoris. I agreed.wake up from surgery I see the Hood skin basically has been sewn down to the suture area and it appears that my clitoris head is 2 inch away from base, the head poking just left top of vag. opening.fear clitoral restriction pain,problems?Options?

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry to hear of your current issues. Unfortunately without photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice. A wedge labiaplasty will not by itself affect your clitoral hood tissues if too much was present. An additional incision running along the cleft is often used to remove this. I would speak with your surgeon to voice your concerns and see if a revision 6 months after surgery would help further refine your results. Best wishes.

If you are dissatisfied with the answer, it is wise to seek out a second opinion. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure.
