Keloid scaring any advice? PS suggests another surgery

Hello- I found out after two years post DMX that I have keloid scaring and PS is stating the scaring should be reopened and redone. How do I know this will not happen again? My PS stated implants are not big enough. He needs to change the size of the implants put in 1.5 years ago. Im struggling to accept the error that occurred and that I had 2 fat grafting surgeries and they didn’t really take.

Procedure: Breast Reconstruction

You do not have keloid scarring. I do not know why you were told you do.

Your breasts appear flat. This may be because the implants have flipped back to front. Since fat grafting was not successful, you may want to consider have the implants re-oriented and the spaces made narrower to prevent them from flipping again.

Regarding your red scars, they may be able to be made lighter in color using a vascular laser that targets the red color.

Not all fat that is grafted persists (usually about 50-80%). For the fat to survive it needs to get blood supply from the fat into which it is inserted. After mastectomy, the fat layer is usually thin, making it harder to get a higher percentage take of the transferred fat. It may require repeating the procedure to gradually thicken the fat layer.

Your scars may benefit from a HIDEF scar protocol that addresses the redness, inflammation, contour, and texture. I would begin with topical skin modulation followed by laser and RF therapy.
