when I was a baby I had 3 heart surgeries so I don't know if that's why I have symmastia or if I was born with congenital symmastia.. I need someone that knows how to do this located in FLORIDA. Please reply if you can assist or know a surgeon who can. Thank you.
More than likely this is the results of your previous surgeries. Most board certified plastic surgeons should be able to correct this for you. Just make sure that when you check their credentials, that they are board certified by American Board of Plastic Surgery. This is a common problem that likely resulted from your surgery. I recommend you look up a board certified plastic surgeon who has experience with this. I have done a few of these and they are challenging but patients are generally happy afterwards. Best of luck!
This type of synmastia is a result of your previous surgery. Loss of normal muscle or soft tissue attachments have been detached thus allowing your breasts to move abnormally towards the midline. this is a difficult problem which must be fixed by attaching a resorbable mesh (Galaflex) from your chest muscle or fascia to the ribs to allow the skin to have a sharper medial border. Some people use transcutaneous sutures to assist with this molding for several days only much like an external web to help this to occur. The creation of a usually natural fold, which has been damaged in previous surgery, can be difficult and may take multiple surgeries. This is not for the inexperienced surgeon.
