Capsular or improper muscle release/ pocket issue?

So I believe I have capsular contracture. I’m 6 months post opp in two days and my right breast stopped dropping at 3 months post opp. It’s slightly firmer, not hard and no pain so far. I’ve been researching and have found that some girls think they have capsular when really the muscle wasn’t properly released. Can you tell me how you would know the difference? Can a breast be firm from improper

Procedure: Breast Augmentation

In all likelihood it’s capsular contracture. The implant is deviated toward the sternum in addition to being high; inadequate muscle release is not to blame.

If it isn’t real hard it could be mild contracture. However, I think that it is more likely that the implant was placed improperly. It is hard to tell, though without an in-person evaluation.

Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately without an in-person examination it is difficult to diagnose the exact cause of your high-riding implant. I would be more tempted to say poor pocket development based on the timing since surgery.

Hello. In my opinion if the breast does not feel hard, there is not capsular contracture. I always advise my patients that the falling of the implants to its place, making a natural folding, is not symmetrical, meaning one breast may be less swollen than the other.
