3 weeks after Breast explant and lift surgery

I am concerned about the results of my breast surgery. Is this normal? Will the inflammation on shown on the picture near the scar stay that way forever? As you can tell one side is ok but the other looks deformed. It has been three week since my surgery and I am feeling really sad with the results. Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you for your question. At 3 weeks, it is way too early to pass judgment as you still have a lot of swelling and tissue will change shape and remodel. Typically, you would not see your final results for 6 months post surgery. Be patient and keep following up with your surgeon to make sure you don't have fluid buildup in the space that the implant was in.

I completely understand your concerns. It is true that only 3 weeks after surgery the results will be distorted so one would definitely want to wait. I will say, though that your tissues still look proficient (droopy). The good news is that if the final result is not what you expect a revision can be performed.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. It is early in your recovery to know the final result but for having done a lift at the time of your explant, your breasts continue to show excess breast skin and tissue sagging that will likely require a revision procedure.
