Good day and thank you for your question. Dr. Monasebian, our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, will answer your questions. He has been performing breast reconstructive procedures for over 25 years including breast reduction and treatment of symmastia. Dr. Monasebian would have to see you in person to examine you and ask you questions. After that, surgical options will be discussed. We would be happy to see you if you are in the New York City area. Medical insurance may help cover the costs of the procedure if deemed medically necessary which can be determined at your consultation. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Regards, Dr. Monasebian and Park Avenue Plastic Surgery.

You have severe breast hypertrophy and symmastia. The central area of your sternum adipose tissue will need to be removed with liposuction. I usually use liposuction to help get best possible results with my breast reduction procedures. The breast reduction can be helped with suction assisted lipectomy. It looks like you would benefit from a 50% reduction of your breasts. See a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation with symmastia experience. Good luck and stay safe.

Thank you for sharing your photos! Large breasts may not only interfere with your physical ability to function in daily activities but can be emotionally burdensome too. Although it is difficult to say without an in-person examination, from what you describe you are a candidate for a breast reduction. Breast reduction surgery removes excess breast tissue and reshapes the contour of the breasts so that they're smaller and perkier. Its possible to do a breast reduction with a minimal scar technique and can also be done as a outpatient procedure under twilight sedation. I commonly use a minimal incision technique (Le Jour), eliminating the need for large scars while providing a pleasing breast contour and shape that is proportionate to the patient’s body. It's important to be sure expectations are realistic and you have an understanding of the commitment needed for the healing process. I suggest making an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon who can go over your options!

Hello Jaleah. It does appear that you would benefit from a breast reduction. I perform many breasts reductions. Your insurance may cover your procedure. I am in Manhattan and along Island and would be happy to see you for consultation to further discuss the process.
