Which one?

Good evening. So I am considering getting surgery to get rid of my bell fat but I am not sure on which surgery to get. I dont have flabby or excessive skin at all. My stomach is actually big as if I am a few months pregnant which I am not and I'm tired of feeling insecure about it and people asking me how many months am I and me responding..I'm not pregnant. I need help.

Procedure: Liposuction

You are correct. Most plastic surgery sites do not have a lot of information for prospective patients. You are better off going in for a consultation with a plastic surgeon to be properly evaluated. Good luck

Hello Dear, thank you for this great question. I think the best is to do consultion with the most appropriate profile, and the second best is to other people that you know might help. Good luck.

Dear Oralmed2,

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. I would start by calling a selection of plastic surgeons, to see if they offer a deep plane facelift. From those that do, it is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck!

This is a common concern that stems from the general understanding that not all facelifts are one size fits all. There are many ways to perform a facelift, and the operation really should be individualized to promise bespoke and durable results. Your best bet is to find a surgeon who performs many facelifts and will explain his or her choice in response to your anatomy, goals, and desires. I hope this helps!

Dear Oralmed2,

I would advise against seeking a very specific technique while looking for any aesthetic enhancement. It's most beneficial to select a qualified, experienced, ethical, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who performs safe and meticulous face-lifts. Discuss your specific goals and concerns and consider the options offered. You can then select the most suitable plan and trust that you are in good hands.

You should ask yourself why you want a deep plane facelift, as opposed to the more conventional facelift involving skin, supporting fascia, and platysma muscle. That said, if a deep plane lift is what you want, you might start by doing a literature search to see who has published his/her results.

I prefer the term ‘facial rejuvenation’ over the more antiquated term ‘facelift’, as many patients that I see who seek a more youthful and refreshed facial appearance undergo a set of surgical procedures very different from what would have been considered a ‘facelift‘ twenty-five years ago.Ideally, you can find a plastic surgeon you trust to determine the approach that will be best for you. No two facelifts are exactly alike as no two faces are exactly alike. Do start with ASPS members. Then, look at a lot of photos. Try to find images of people with a starting point similar to yours with results you like. Then, consider a consultation.
