Consider contacting your surgeon. Post operative abdominal swelling associated with an abdominoplasty could be a seroma. Best,

It would be difficult to know what the cause of that fullness might be. Post operative swelling is certainly a possibility even at 5 weeks. It would be best to contact the surgeon that did the procedure. Try to be patient, though as often the final effect is not seen for 9-12 months after surgery.

Thank you for sharing your question. In most cases this fullness is swelling from surgery and will improve with time (months). Hang in there, inform your surgeon of your concerns, and best of luck with your continued recovery!
