Support to find doctor

Looking for some help to find a plastic surgeon who can correct my diastatsis recti , tightening of the muscle and remove excess fat, and well-toned my abdomen area. I will be 50 in September and want this procedure to help with back pain complications, as I also had 2 C-sections almost 20 years ago and the stomach pouch never went away, even after much exercises. I live in Belleville, IL.

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: Scott AFB, IL

I would have to evaluate you in personel, but your problem is not unique. In a standard Tummy Tuck (abdominoplasty) the skin layer in the front is essentially lifted up to the level of your rib cage. The point above your belly button (Umbilicus) is brought down to pubic area, with the skin and attached fat between those 2 points removed. During this process, the muscles of your abdomen are exposed and they can be stitched together.

Many patients will have liposuction performed of other areas simultaneously. For instance, removing fat from the waste line will give an ‘hour glass’ look. Some want upper chest and thighs sculpted, something that is referred to as lipo 360.

In either case, you will want to look for someone that performs a lot of these. For instance in my office (Michigan) I perform approximately 80 TT and 150 Lipo annually.

Hi Marquis. I used to practice in Belleville, IL. Surgeons close to you that I would recommend are Craig McKee in Edwardsville and Keith Brandt in St. Louis.
