Extremely Hard Breast (1)

I had a breast reduction surgery 3 weeks ago, so far ive had an infection in the left one in which they removed a hematoma. I have insisted for 2 week's that my right breast is getting harder and harder... At my 2 post op appointments, she did not feel the breast but said it's normal. I know there can be changes and some hardness but I am feeling a hard knot like spot's... Is this a concern?

Procedure: Breast Reduction
Location: Lafayette, TN

Without seeing you it’s hard to know. It possible that it’s normal swelling. Other possibilities are hematoma (internal bleeding into the breast). I would suggest contacting your doctor again. You could always get a second opinion as well

It may well be a hematoma, in which case you may notice the involved breast not only getting firmer but enlarging. It may also be due to fibrosis of the fat, due to its blood supply being compromised. It may soften with time. or the fat may die and liquify. An ultrasound may be helpful in elucidating the situation.

I think your right breast is having a hematoma too , it is better to have your doctor check again or examined with CT or MRI to identify what is in your right breast, and get it fixed .
