Questions about Chin augmentation removal

31 years ago I had a silicone implant chin augmentation. Over the years I began to experience numbness of my chin whenever the weather was cold. Over the past year though I’m having alarming symptoms of my lips and chin randomly experiencing a tingling/burning sensation that has now become more constant. Do you think it’s related to the surgery and what can I do to have it removed?

Procedure: Chin Surgery
Location: Richmond, KY

Thank you for sharing your question. The best advice is to seek out an in-person consultation to see what may be taking place in order to offer treatment options. In most cases the silicone would need to be removed.

Yes, I think the neurological symptoms might be related to the previous chin implant surgery, it might be helpful to have the implant removed.
