Chronic Pain

I had a brow lift almost a year ago. I now have chronic pain all around the incisions on each side. Every day I have headaches and such bad pain that I cannot sleep. The plastic surgeon says he doesn't know why. I went to a neurologist who also said she doesn't know why but nerve pain has been ruled out. Both the original surgeon and the neurologist said that they can't help me. What should I do?

Procedure: Brow Lift
Location: Columbia, MD

Headache may be due to muscle spasm. There may also be an abnormal reflex arc. A series of injections of lidocaine followed by bupivicaine (Macaine) may be helpful. Anesthetize the area first with lidocaine (Xylocaine) as Marcaine is painful on injection.

In my opinion the pain might be caused by the incision scars , especially when they are hypertrophic, you could try to have injection of local anesthetics by your doctors and it might relieve your pain temporally. And see what happens!

not a day gone by that I am filled w regrets. I had a brow lift it turned out disastrous and I am in chronic pain with headaches every day. I don’t know what they did but like you my surgeon said he’s baffled I think once they mess around cutting muscles and pulling them in different directions you’ll have pain the rest of your life. It’s been 7 painful headache filled days since my brow surgery
