Stretch marks

I have stretch marks that I’ve had for a very long time in between a year to three years. The biggest one I have is a good inch and a half wide. They are still as purple and fresh as when they first appeared. I was wondering if suturing these big stretch marks together will cause them to heal faster? Is that a thing? Or maybe even taping them together? Honestly I’ll do anything at this point.

Procedure: Wound Care
Location: cleveland, OH

Excision of the stretch marks if possible instead of taping them.

Stretch Marks are special type of skin scars

Tapping or stitching will not solve the problem

Treatment with injection of nanofat or fractional laser may improve their quality in my experience

Thank you lizthekid for your question and photographs.

It is difficult to answer correctly without personal consultation and examination.

If you're concern is only stretch marks then you can think of stretch mark excision or mini tummy tuck. And if you are looking for overall abdominal shape and family is completed, then you can also plan for lipoabdominoplasty or tummy tuck.

Please consult board certified plastic surgeon near you and discuss in details.

Best of luck.

Dear Lizthekid,

back stretch mark can also be excised . it depends on how much extra skin? loose skin is there and where are they located. so where will be final scar.

if you are planning for baby in future ,you prefer fractional co2 laser and PRP OR NANO fat frafting. if you have completed family , you can prefer skin excision surgery
