Ischemia on Nose

A surgeon put filler in my nose 10 months ago and waited 24-48 hours to dissolve even though I presented symptoms of occlusion immediately. I still have purple discoloration that gets worse in the cold weather. Do I have any chance of this getting better at this point? I wanted to try anything when it first happened to fix the situation but he was adamant that HBOT wouldn’t work.

Procedure: Dermal Fillers
Location: New York, NY

This is a tough problem. Whether or not it will improve depends on what the cause for the discoloration is. There are many options to treat dyschromia (discoloration), but the best treatment will depend on how much (if any) skin loss you have. Best case, the redness gets better with time or can be addressed with laser treatment.

You will need to get an in person consultationfor best discussion of alternatives. In the interim, use sunscreen and sun protection while healing.
