After how many days of a gynecomastia surgery, can the patient remove the bandage from the surgery area?

It will be better that you should go back to see your plastic surgeon and he will determine when to remove the bandage.

Usually, I see the patient 2 to 3 days post op , and remove the dressing in the office.The it can be change daily by the patient

Thank you for sharing! It’s best to check with your surgeon about post operative care, but gynecomastia surgery can often be performed through small incisions around the areola. I use a combination of liposuction that involves ultrasound to liquefy the fat so its less traumatic to the tissues and laser smart lipo which stimulates tissue tightening. Whatever the method used, the surgeon will eventually suck out the fat and glandular tissue from around the areola and from the sides and bottom of the breasts. Because liposuction stimulates the skin to tighten, good elasticity provides a smooth contour after fat is removed. I have my patients wear a surgical garment for a week and instruct them to avoid any strenuous exercise for several weeks. Your surgeon may also insert drains to siphon off any excess fluid. Although you'll have an idea of how your breasts will look within a few weeks they won't take on their ultimate shape for several months.
