Reverse tummy tuck and breast reduction

I really want a breast reduction procedure and i also want my diastasis recti repaired. My question is to minimize scaring and incisions, can i have a reverse tummy tuck along with breast reduction at the same time? Or do i need to have a traditional tummy tuck to repair my abdominal muscles and remove loose skin?

Procedure: Tummy Tuck
Location: San Antonio, TX

A reverse tummy tuck tightens the upper abdominal skin and can repair the diastasis from the belly button upwards. The lower abdomen, which is where most of the loose skin/stretch marks (and diastasis) are located would remain. If you have any stretch marks above the belly button, they would move higher on your abdomen and be more visible. There may be blood supply issues to the abdominal flap that could cause delayed healing or poorer scars. With a breast reduction we try to avoid having a scar that crosses the middle of the chest because of the risk of scar hypertrophy/keloids. Although your idea is intriguing for fewer scars, I would suggest a traditional tummy tuck for the best result.

Thank you for sharing your question. For most patients a combination of a breast reduction and a conventional tummy tuck will provide the best results as the latter will permit repair of the full length of the muscles with removal of the greatest amount of loose skin.

Yes, it can be done but because something can be done does not mean it would be the best for you. In my opinion this would be very rarely indicated and most plastic surgeons are not going to compromise their results doing something not indicated. Consult an ABPS certified surgeon close to where you live for your best answer after examination. There are many good plastic surgeons in San Antonio.
