I am inquiring about diabetic type 2 . I want a full deep plane facelift if you are diabetic does this mean you can’t get surgery?
Consider seeing the practitioner that manages your AODM first. An A1C can assit in determining if it is OK to proceed. Ask for Surgical Clearance. Then, pursue an ASPS Member in your area familar with FaceLifts in Diabetic patients.

My criteria for operating on diabetics is to have an A1c of 7 or less for all elective surgery. This minimizes the chances of wound healing complications.
Hi. A very good question. The answer is no, a diabetic type 2 must not undergo an elective surgery as a facelift since complication and risk are to high for them. From necrosis of the skin from deficient blood supply, wound opening, infections, etc.
