repair and reconstruction of toenail bed

I am looking for someone to repair my damaged toenail bed & matrix. I am a R.N. and worked through the Covid Pandemic even though nails/ nail beds were painful/pressure. I didn't miss one day of work. My toenails hurt all the time; but I'm told my nails are not ingrown but that my nail matrix/bed/scars need repair. I'm willing to pay on my own. I just need to find a doctor who specializes in this

Procedure: General Reconstruction
Location: Westfield, MA

Hello, in my e experience, usually pain in the toes may be related to a bony deformity in the distal phalanx ok the toes involved. I think this should be ruled out. Also neuropathy due to glucose metabolism.

Hope this helps a little.

Injury to the nail bed will cause deformity of the nail due to scarring. The matrix of the nail is at the proximal part under the eponychium, that is the germinal matrix.

Pain is usually not a presenting symptom. Tumors can cause pain. Therefore you need to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with experience in Hand Surgery (They deal with nail bed ) and their repair. If scarring of the nail bed, can be repaired by microsurgery (Microscope or loupe magnification)
