Worried about flatness to right bottom of breast

I am 6 weeks s/p breast augmentation exchange (previously had 400cc saline 9 years ago). I had silicone implants placed with internal bra Mesh. Internal bra is not galaflex it is a different brand. I am concerned about my right breast as it is more swollen and has a flatness do the right bottom that has not improved much after surgery. I have had follow up with my surgeon he is not concerned

Procedure: Breast Implant Revision
Location: wayne, NJ

One needs more information about the "Internal Bra" technique used. Also the mesh used and how it was fixed , was the lack of fullness seen intraoperatively. You are too early to proceed with revision, it may improve with time and softening of the scars and the mesh.

I believe it was strattice and it was affixed to the lower part of my breasts to avoid bottoming out as my previous implants had. I had fullness there previously when I had my other implants. I have attached a photo of my before.

It could be a problem with the mesh, seroma, or the implant may have flipped. Because the right side is more swollen than the left at 6 weeks I would start with ultrasound imaging to rule out seroma/fluid collection. Talk with your surgeon. Good luck!

Dear spc113,

There is good reason that your surgeon is not concerned and presumably he has told you that it is very, very early in your healing process. Especially in the face of having Strattice placed internally. Trust your surgeon. Good luck!

It is too early to determine anything. You are going to get a bunch of different answers by speculating different doctors that do not know all about your case or that had a chance to examine you. Having a little more swelling on one side would not be so unusual at this time. I would follow the advice of your surgeon and after some time if not satisfied would consider a second opinion from another local ABPS certified doctor.
