Liposuction fat for breast reconstruction?

Can breasts be reconstructed using liposuction fat?

What if someone wanted a preventative nipple-sparing double mastectomy but wanted to reconstruct their breasts, and say they also wanted liposuction on their body? Could that liposuction fat theoretically be used for said breast reconstruction? My understanding is nipple-sparing mastectomy leaves a small amount of tissue behind. Could that work?

To have a mastectomy first of all you have to have the proper indications. Then there are several methods of reconstruction. Fat grafting is one method of enhancing a reconstruction but probably not enough to reconstruct a whole breast in the best possible way. You need to have an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to determine what is best for you and you should find one close to your home.

Fat transfer to breast is the one of breast tissue enhancing treatment but probably not enough for whole breast reconstruction after mastectomy. For mor exactly diagnosis and treatment plan please consult with your doctor in person for full physical examination.

It could work in the right person. I specialize in these types of reconstruction but not all patients are candidates. A virtual or in-person consultation would be needed to determine if you are an appropriate patient for this procedure.
