Leg lift

I am definitely in need of a leg lift. I have pain in my hips and groin area after losing 150 lbs. I am just beginning my search for a surgeon. Is this something that I might be able to get insurance to pay? I have been to two orthopedics. I’ve had shots in my hips and my groin with no relief. I’ve been doing physical therapy for over six months. I work 30 hours a week on my feet as a waitress.

Procedure: Body Lift
Location: Hackettstown, NJ

Your symptoms point to hip joint problems. The excess skin and fat in the medial and lateral thigh usually do not cause hip pain.

The orthopedic surgeon you have seen probably did an MRI of the hips and can tell you if the problem is a hip joint problems.

As for insurance coverage you need to ask your insurance company.

This is a procedure that is not covered by insurance. It would incur out of pocket costs. I agree with the other surgeons here that your hip pain is unlikely to be caused by the skin in the thighs.

Your symptoms are not from the excess skin of your medial thighs. This would be a cosmetic operation and insurance companies do not usually cover this.

Your symptoms sound like hip joint problem that need MRI and more better examination to figure out the problem and your symptoms are not from the excess skin of your medial thighs that need thigh tuck surgery to get rid of excess skin . This would be a cosmetic operation and insurance companies do not usually cover this.
