WOW!! Saddle Nose Deformity. Most Common from Trauma and/or Drug Abuse. Can be a very complicated process that may require more than one surgery to correct. Smoking and continued drug use could be considered contraindications to surgery. Be prepared to receive serial smoking and drug tests. Approach a training program in Plastic Surgery in your area. This may dcrease your costs dramatically.

Good day, I totally agree with Dr. Culbertson, definitely the origin of this deformity should be defined, and avoided in the future 100%.

For sure this condition needs to be treated with a cartilage graft from the ribs, plus other grafts and steps in order to IMPROVE the function and cosmetics of the nose.

More than 1 surgical procedure will be needed most likely, but the first one is the crucial.

More than one surgical specialist will be needed to reconstruction ( ear nose and throat surgeon, plastic surgery, etc).

The expenses in the first procedure will be the the highest, but secondary procedures will be lower.

Hope this helps you.

You have a saddle nose deformity. What is the reason you have this? Is it from trauma? This is difficult to correct. However you would need a cantilever type of graft with rib cartilage. Less would be more with this case. You insurance may help with this kind of surgery if from trauma. I would recommend going to a University type of Hospital for a consultation.

Based on the pictures posted, you have the most complex and involved rhinoplasty reconstruction ever.

Dr. Culbertson and Dr. Quintero are absolutely right in their evaluation.

This may take multiple procedures and some may not be corrected ever.

To ask for a plastic surgeon to take over this these procedures is not fair.

Aplastic surgeon have to pay for the facility, the nurses, the anesthesia to correct your nasal problem,. I do not think you can expect the surgeon to pay for all these expenses plus the malpractice insurance. The basis of this nasal problem could be many issues.

You need to deal with these issues first, then try to deal with the cosmetic issue when you have enough money for the primary surgery and further surgeries. Cosmetic Surgery is not a solution to all the problems
