I’m a self pay seeking advice. My stats (after an initial consult) are as follows: Age: 59; height: 5’6; weight: 161 lbs; BMI: 26.79; BSA: 1.83; 38DD. I was given the following from the surgeon: Right br: SN 32; ND 5.5; IMF 11; BD-breast density 145
Left br: SN-suprasternal notch to nipple 33; ND-nipple diameter MAYBE 6; IMF-inframammary fold 12; BD-breast. How much should be removed?
Those measurements are actually not very useful in planning or executing breast reduction/mastopexy procedures. At this point I don't take any of those measures into planning, as the nipple position is marked relative to individual landmarks (midline and inframammaey fold height) rather then a number.
The final nipple/areolar border to fold length IS an important number though and usually set between 5-6cm on a traditional t scar. Much beyond that predictably causes problems with bottoming put
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with a quantitative answer as to how much should or would be removed until after the fact. Examining you in person and hearing from your your goals, along with assessing body and breast proportions, aesthetics, and shape are required . Please consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon whose aesthetics seem to align with your own based on results viewed on his or her Before and After gallery. Best of luck to you.

Hi Jamie, the information you send show you have a large breast, so for sure you require a inverted T scar for your surgery. Breast Reducción can decrease your cup 1-3 sizes, it up to the anatomical references and what are you trying to get so it should be discused with your surgeon. Reduction Mamoplasty helps a lot to feel less tired and some times less back pain so it worth it!
