I developed a delayed reaction to my cheek filler about 8 weeks post injection. I was placed on steroids and had Hylenex injected in both sides. My right side developed an abscess which drained for 3 weeks. Two cultures were negative for bacteria and I was placed on 3 different antibiotics. The abscess has finally closed and is healing. Has anyone in the Atlanta area had experience with this?
Your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon took very good care of your problem with delayed reaction to fillers. There also many very good Board Certified Plastic Surgeons with tremendous experience with fillers and reconstruction in the Atlanta area.

But a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon would be the ideal person to deal with your questions and issues. I would wait some time before doing any thing 6-12 months. whether to try fillers or fat transfer.
Delayed reaction and infection of filler can happended in serveral causes and you have had a good treatment already. For the further step if you need other advise for scar or tissue remodeling pleae don't hesitate to ask.
