I have a scar on the border line of my lips after a surgery to reduce my lips 18 years ago. It was done when I was around 12 and I have camouflaged it with make up, but can’t anymore. I have tried lasers, steroids injections , creams, oils and nothing will completely flatten the scar. It has been white since I remember and when I smile it stretches making it more visible. Any recomendations?
Hello, it would be really useful to see a picture without make-up, really close to see the border of the lip skin and the border of the pink part of the lip. Maybe an other picture when smiling to look at this stretching of the scar that you describe.
The junction of both parts of the lip is called THE WHITE LINE or ROLL. This line is the main landmark to examine any scar in the lip area.
Your photo quality is not good then please take more clear photo and point or circle your targeted problem area for more discussion.
Hypopigmented scars on the vermilion are a challenging scar problem. I have treated these scars successfully with Plasma pixelation to restore texture and color into the incision line.
