Horizontal lines and Neck Folds

Hello. I’m a 27y male with an overall athletic/fit build and I have been since my middle school days. However, I was born with hereditary horizontal lines and extra skin around my neck that causes neck folds when I look down, sideways or hold my head back. I am wondering if it is possible to remove the extra skin from my neck to reduce the folds. I am aware the lines will still be there.

Procedure: Neck Lift

Hello,

This sounds like it has been troubling you for a while now. I'm sure we can help you with the concerns you describe, but without a formal examination, it is hard to say what is the best plan of action. I'd suggest reaching out to schedule a consultation so that you can get the best options for your concerns.

Have a great day.

Sincerely,

Eric Payne, MD

Without picture and physical examination, it is difficult to give you a good advice. Horizontal lines in the neck can be improved based in physical examination. It is worth it to have a consult with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon to advise you with your options.

There may be something that may help you and something that is not going to be worth the trouble. What you describe may be completely normal and it is impossible to tell you anything without an exam or at least a picture. What you need is a consultation with a local board surgeon.
